From birth, we are all created with a void in our heart that only God can fill. He has given us His Word, the Holy Spirit, His Creation and an open invitation to spend time with Him and come to know Him personally. Revelations 3:20 says “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”
Living in a leprosy colony creates barriers that in many cases prevent the people in the colonies from being able to receive consistent Bible teaching. Each week our church planting teams go into the various villages meeting with their community bible group to study God’s word. We count it our highest and most important purpose for the opportunity to deliver this message of hope and healing each week.
Families that would otherwise not have had the opportunity to hear His truth, because of their disease, are now being fed scripture weekly and developing their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Several times we have witnessed people stand up and express “they were thankful they had contracted leprosy because they now are in a place to experience the true love of Jesus Christ for themselves”.
